to Solid Tone Customs and thank you for visiting.
Building
is something I have done for a living for over 25 years.
My experience began in custom cabinetry and kitchens working
with my father who was a talented carpenter by trade and
taught me so much. I've worked in the commercial sign industry,
been a welder, spent several years in the pipe lining industry.
At present I own/operate my own company which deals with
the commercial construction industry. The build projects
I have been involved with include restaurants, gas stations,
coffee houses, department stores, just to name a few.
I
am a self-taught guitar builder and have made many of the
tools, jigs, etc. needed when I built my first guitar in
Jan 2009.
Currently
I am using my skills to handcraft acoustic steel string
guitars. Not my full time job, instead time I spend enjoying
simply working with my hands and wood. I build focusing
on playability, clarity, tone, and simplistic beauty. The
instruments I create are from solid choice woods and carefully
voiced to make each look and sound beautiful.
